Facilities Engineer

CBIZ Talent Solutions is seeking a Facilities Engineer for their Suffolk County Property Management client. This is a hands-on role supporting a multi-building property, responsible for maintenance, repairs, and preventive care across building systems, grounds, and amenities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs and maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general systems
• Execute preventive maintenance and manage work orders
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors; ensure safety and compliance (OSHA)
• Inspect buildings and identify maintenance needs
• Support site operations (landscaping, snow removal, events, etc.)
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
• Maintain tools, inventory, and documentation

Requirements:

• 5+ years of facilities/maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to emergencies
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred:

• Commercial real estate experience
• Experience with Yardi, Procore, or work order systems

Compensation: $75,000–$80,000 + benefits and 401(k) with match
