HR Generalist

CBIZ is partnering with a growing healthcare organization seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support a 135+ employee company undergoing expansion through acquisitions. Position is located in Nassau County.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employee relations, including coaching, conflict resolution, and investigations
  • Oversee and drive performance management processes
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, employment laws, and best practices
  • Support and enhance company culture during a period of growth
  • Supervise one HR/Talent Specialist
  • Partner with executive leadership on HR strategy and organizational initiatives
  • Assist with scaling HR processes as the company grows

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of HR Generalist experience
  • Strong background in employee relations, investigations, and compliance
  • Experience in healthcare or professional services environments is a must.
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a small team environment
  • Must be based in or able to commute to Long Island or Queens

Work Environment

  • Standard hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM, with flexibility for occasional extended hours
  • Limited travel (5–10%) to local sites
  • High-visibility role reporting to executive leadership
